An art gallery in your pocket: the work of graphic artist Gerardo Castro to browse, get to know in detail and buy from your phone — with paintings that come to life in augmented reality.
Virtual Gallery is an Android app developed for graphic artist Gerardo Castro. It brings his work together in one place: a gallery to explore each piece, a detailed sheet with its specifications and the option to buy available works directly from the app.
Each work has its own sheet — technique, dimensions, weight, material and price — and the app also includes the artist's biography and the calendar of his upcoming exhibitions.
Augmented reality is the heart of the experience. At exhibitions, visitors point their camera at some of the paintings and watch a unique animation appear, created especially for each one.
